Five Great Ways To Use Led Strip Lights

Backlight your TV
Here’s an easy one to get started. Place the Comet strips on the back side of your TV, and choose a cool colour like blue, green or purple. It’ll give your TV a futuristic look, and you can even change the colour of the lights to match what you’re watching. Red for 2001: A Space Odyssey, green for The Matrix or blue for Top Gear. Just keep the brightness down and colour changes to a minimum – you don’t want to distract from the on-screen action!
Illuminate dark areas
LED strips are great for illuminating dark areas, like the stairs shown here. Whether you go for an artistic effect or something more practical, you and your guests will be able to see better and avoid accidents. LEDs use dramatically less power than traditional lights, so it might even worthwhile leaving them on at all times. This way, you can still see when you need to go downstairs at night, without the shock of turning on your main lights.
Light up your shelves
You can transform kitchens and studies with subtle LED lighting, particularly when placed around storage areas like shelves and cupboards. As well as looking good, it makes it easier to see where everything is. Plus, keeping your shelves lit up will encourage you to keep them spotless!

Got a recessed area in your home? Install LED strips around the bottom edge of the space, lending it a cool and modern air. The colours can be changed to suit the occasion, and you can get real fast and funky if you’re having a party or just want to make your afternoon tea more extreme.
